Polychrome is exhibits a new collection by Frea Buckler, one of my favourite printmakers. The work explores the fluidity of process, experience, function and sensibility. Frea's use of colour and shapes is always impeccable! The exhibition is in Jealous East until the 26th May and then Jealous North 29th May - 30th June.
There are always so many amazing events, exhibitions, talks and installations all around the world that I’d love to go to. So I thought I’d put together a list of anything that catches my eye. Roll on when teleporting is invented and I can go to them all! Oh and please do let me know if there are any more I should add.
Marylou Faure: Nobody’s Baby
Marylou Faure is one of my favourite illustrators. Her work is so striking, colourful and playful. This exhibition is 'an intimate exploration of femininity which celebrates body-confident, independent women'. Sounds marvellous and a seriously brilliant subject matter.
The Whitechapel Pool
Artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset have created this site specific installation in the Whitechapel Gallery. It tells a fictional story about the pool, but is a response to the gentrification of the East End. It looks really beautiful and also slightly bizarre - definitely one to see!
