On the second day of our Iceland trip we explored Reykjavik. You don’t really need a whole day for it as it’s quite a small town, but we wanted a more relaxed day to recover from the journey there and our first day of seeing the Golden Circle. We also wanted to be well rested for a ton of driving the next day on our trip to Jokulsarlon.
As I’m sure most people are aware, Iceland is one of the most expensive travel destinations, but also one of the most beautiful. And definitely the most amazing place I’ve ever visited. When I think back to this trip it feels like some kind of magical dream, I’ve just never been anywhere like it before…
I thought I’d share some of my holiday outfits, even though I realise it’s the end of summer now, so may be a little redundant. But if anything it’s useful to keep a record of outfits I liked so that next year I have an idea of what I’d take on holiday. I always like dressing for holidays because I feel like I can experiment a bit and wear things I wouldn’t normally.
This year I had actually wanted to steer clear of all inclusive hotels, just for a bit of a change and to go somewhere interesting that wasn’t all about the hotel. However after looking for ages at so many different places it just seemed like really we just wanted to fully relax, not do too much sight seeing and to not have to budget too much once we were there. We’d both been working hard and just wanted a break!
